Joel Marin, formerly of Lively, Ontario, is our newest tattoo artist at Live Once Tattoo. Having just completed his apprenticeship with flying colours under shop owner and veteran tattoo artist Denis Prevost, Joel is now accepting clients for tattooing. 

Joel especially enjoys bold, colourful pieces, drawing heavily on new skool style art to make deeply colourful, visually striking pieces. He got his first taste of tattooing by going under the needle of his future mentor, Denis, almost ten years ago. He was amazed by the process of transferring incredible graphic art onto skin. Joel still cites Denis as his primary influence, and says he "wouldn't have ever considered tattooing as a carreer with any other artist as a teacher".

A self-taught artist who would dedicate 40 to 60 hours per week of his spare time drawing and painting, Joel has made the natural progression from a truly original graphic artist to a tattoo artist of the calibre of the Live Once Tattoo crew.
